BrachyAcademy is proud to announce that it entered into a cooperation with INTERACTS, an acronym for Interventional Radiotherapy Active Teaching School
The school is a “Gemelli ART” service. The mission is the education of physicians/medical physicists in interventional radiotherapy (brachytherapy) through a multidisciplinary approach with theoretical lessons and practical training.
All courses will be held in Rome and jointly developed and announced on both the BrachyAcademy website as well as the INTERACTS website: http://gemelliart.it/interacts
Initiators of these programs are professor György Kovacs from the University Medical Center Schleswig-Holstein and professor Vincenzo Valentini from the Policlinico Universitario “Agostino Gemelli” of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore.
INTERACTS aims to organize several programs per year, on various topics. Each course will last one full week from Monday till Friday, and will include a lot of hands-on sessions on dummies and treatment planning systems, and observations in the operating room. The groups will be small with a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 20 participants, to maximise learning opportunities.
At all courses, single participants are welcome, but it is encouraged to participate with multidisciplinary brachytherapy teams.
Courses are flexible and will be adapted to the level of experience of the participants. The topics for the courses are not yet fixed, and suggestions here for based on your interest are welcomed. Ideally, each course is limited to one or maximum two topics. Example topics are:
- Perioperative BT techniques
- Biliary ducts
[Please let us know] what bodysite training you would be interested in and we will start developing the courses according to your needs!
We are looking forward to hearing from you
