6th Amsterdam Brachy College

The 6th Amsterdam Brachy College took place on October 9-10, 2025. A workshop hosted by Amsterdam UMC (location AMC), in collaboration with BrachyAcademy.

A fantastic faculty team – Bradley Pieters, Henrike Westerveld, Cristina Gutierrez, Nicole Eder-Nesvacil, Danique Barten, and Karel Hinnen – has taught the fundamentals of brachytherapy across key indications: cervical, prostate, breast, skin, head & neck cancers, including re-irradiation.

We were joined by 20 young participants — radiation oncologists, RTTs, and medical physicists — from the Netherlands, Germany, Greece, Italy, Spain, and Peru. The program combined lectures, discussions, hands-on training with applicators and catheters, and practical sessions on dose calculation and treatment planning.
