Drei-Länder Symposium für Brachytherapie

From March 13–15, 2025, the Drei-Länder Symposium für Brachytherapie took place in Bonn, Germany. This German-speaking conference, held every two years, rotates between Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. This year, it was hosted by Wege Klinik and Professor Michael Pinkawa.

With around 140 participants and over 30 speakers, the symposium covered a broad range of topics, including gynecological, prostate, breast, skin, anal and rectal, liver, and keloid brachytherapy. Elena Dizendorf, head of BrachyAcademy, presented an overview of 16 years of peer-to-peer education in image-guided brachytherapy, highlighting BrachyAcademy’s continued impact on clinical training.

A special session focused on brachytherapy treatment support, where nurses and RTTs shared valuable insights into patient planning, anesthesia, pain management, and psychological patient support.
