Are you ready to enhance your expertise in advanced breast cancer treatment? Join our practical course on Partial Breast Irradiation, focusing on two powerful techniques: Multicatheter Brachytherapy and Electronic Intraoperative Brachytherapy (IORT).
Why participate
To emphasize the importance of teamwork, we’re offering a unique opportunity: when a Radiation Oncologist and Medical Physicist from the same institution register, your Nurse and RTT can join the course for free!
This practical course offers participants an immersive experience with:
- Three live clinical cases, including:
- Postoperative interstitial multicatheter brachytherapy implant
- Perioperative interstitial multicatheter brachytherapy implant
- Lumpectomy with IORT using the Xoft device
- Hands-on training:
- Catheter insertion using breast phantoms
- Target delineation
You’ll gain insights into patient selection criteria, radiobiology, fractionation schedules including very accelerated PBI, indications including re-irradiation (salvage brachytherapy), treatment planning and dosimetry – all the essentials for successful PBI delivery.
