Preceptorship in Gynecological Brachytherapy

This preceptorship focuses on the technological advancements in brachytherapy, specifically interstitial techniques and the development of modern applicators, critical for enhancing treatment precision and outcomes.

Through small groups of up to 5 participants, the program emphasizes hands-on training in the operating room to enhance the use of trans rectal ultrasound and CT-ring imaging for applicator selection, precise placement, and image integration. The practical component is further designed to improve participants’ understanding and skills in dosimetry and treatment planning. A standout feature of this preceptorship is the inclusion of masterclasses led by experts in gynecological brachytherapy. These sessions provide participants with advanced knowledge, practical insights, and a deeper understanding of treatment indications, ensuring a comprehensive and enriching learning experience.  The program will be conducted in English, with the option to switch to Spanish if preferred by participants.
