“In my opinion, the APBI workshop was excellent, and it is mandatory for any doctor who wants to perform breast brachytherapy. It has helped me a lot , especially practical part of the workshop, training of needle placement and for full clinical procedure. However, it is not easy to perform needle implantation on the real patient first time. Prof. Csaba Polgar and Tibor Major came to our hospital and helped me and supported me a lot to do it by myself. Also, there were several challenges during the procedure- technical, during procedure and also during planning and dose prescription. The consultants helped a lot to solve this and honestly, it would be very difficult to perform the first APBI without their support and presence. We are very thankful to them.”
